Better Conversations & Making Everyday Moments Matter | Episode 144

Is it the small moments that connect us?

In the busyness of school life and the demands of daily routines, it’s easy to overlook the small moments. A kind word, a quiet nod, a shared glance. But what if those fleeting interactions are the ones that make the biggest difference?

From the power of micro moments to the importance of boundaries, Michelle shares practical tools and gentle reminders for showing up with care and intention.

This is a conversation that invites you to pause, reflect and reimagine the way you connect with others, one interaction at a time.

Why This Conversation Matters

Because connection doesn’t always come from big, life-changing moments. It often starts with a glance, a word, a presence.

In schools, those everyday interactions can shape how students feel about themselves and their place in the world. They can influence staff culture, strengthen teams and create a sense of belonging.

By becoming more intentional in the way we communicate, with students, colleagues and families, we create the conditions for learning and living well.

You can quote us on that…

“Our words carry such weight and such power that they’re better off being said even in an imperfect way than not being said at all.”

Michelle Mitchell

“Just saying hello makes such a difference.”
